My favorite holiday and my favorite month are almost here... I already feel like decorating our home, enjoying this winter fairytale ambience. So, I'm dedicating this post to winter festive table setting!

Осень, пожалуй, самое сентиментальное время года. Как только дни становятся короткими и серыми (что ни плохо ни хорошо, просто факт), а вечера прохладными и темными, сарафаны сменяются джинсами и плащами, я сразу становлюсь задумчивее, чувствительнее, спокойнее. Вовсе не грустной, просто сентиментальной. Сразу хочется вспоминать школьную осень. Осень в университете пока не хочется вспоминать - уж слишком свежие эти воспоминания! Еще рано придавать им такой трепетно-ностальгический оттенок…. Осень все-таки прекрасна.

I think fall is the most sentimental season ever. As soon as the days become short and gray (which is neither bad nor good, just a fact) and the evenings cold and dark, and we start wearing jeans and trench coats instead of summer dresses, I become more reflective, more sensitive and calmer. Not sad at all, just a bit sentimental. I feel like remembering my school time in autumn. University life in autumn is quite a fresh memory, so, it’s a bit early to think about it in this nostalgic and passionate way… Well, fall is beautiful. 

Вопрос, который мне очень часто задают: как одеваются гречанки? Судить по мне, наверное, будет не совсем правильно. Все-таки я выросла в Москве, где совсем другой климат, образ и уровень жизни, путешествую я чаще всего в Нью-Йорк, Милан и Париж, главные fashion capitals, где не только самая активная и яркая и модная жизнь, но и многолетние традиции великих дизайнеров и брендов. И все же сказать, что Greek style это про меня, это будет абсолютно правильно. Рассказываю, как же одеваются гречанки в целом. 

The question that I’m asked quite often: how do Greek women dress? Well, it wouldn’t be really fair judging us all by my style. I’ve grown up in Moscow where the climate, the lifestyle and life quality level is absolutely different. I mostly travel to NYC, Milan and Paris, the main fashion capitals with the most dynamic and the brightest fashion life and also with the strongest traditions of the greatest brands and designers. And still, if you say my style is Greek style you’d be absolutely right. So, let me tell you how Greek women dress in general.

Сбылась еще одна моя маленькая мечта - я побывала на острове Санторини! Мы провели там всего один день, но этого вполне хватило, чтобы насладиться красотой острова и... решить, что когда-нибудь стоит еще раз посетить этот остров! 

One more dream of mine came true - I've visited the island of Santorini! We spent just one day there and it was enought to enjoy the beauty of the island and to decide that one day I could visit it again!

Давно не было личных, “философских” постов. Обычно так бывает, когда в жизни наступает полная идиллия, абсолютное счастье. Хотелось бы посетовать на что-то (я ведь творческий человек, как же без этого!), но нет. Сетовать я не буду. В моей жизни сейчас самая настоящая идиллия, полная тихого счастья, наслаждения жизнью и любви к людям. За последний год, даже полгода у меня сильно изменился круг общения. Рядом со мной стало больше светлых и чистых людей. С кем-то я стала реже видеться, а с кем-то жизнь и вовсе развела наши пути. Хорошо это или плохо, я не знаю, но лично я всем довольна.

Have been no personal “philosophy” posts for a while. Generally it happens when there’s an idyll and total happiness in someone’s life. I’d love to tell you I’m upset about something (as I’m a creative person, so, how can it be without drama!), but nope. I won’t complain about anything. Everything is literally perfect in my life, there’s an idyll full of quiet happiness, enjoying this life and loving people. During this one or one and a half year I’ve changed the people around me. There are more pure and kind people around me now. There are those former friends whom I don’t see that often now, those whom I gave up seeing at all. Whether it’s good or not, I don’t know, but I’m happy about everything.

Ну не всегда же в черном ходить, иногда можно и блеснуть! Этот образ был вдохновлен лукбуком Saint Laurent winter 2021. Много текстур, оттенки драгоценных камней, нарочито гламурный стиль. Но все вместе смотрится невероятно гармонично. Есть в этом что-то в духе Ива Сен-Лорана! Зима - идеальное время для таких "экспериментов". Когда еще можно одновременно быть и в ботфортах, и в сверкающем мини, и в шубе?

Just because I don't wear black all the time! Sometimes I love shining bright! So, this outfit was inspired by the Saint Laurent winter 2021 lookbook. Many different textures, gem colors, sassy glamorous style, but in general it looks absolutely okay. There is something borrowed from Yves Saint Laurent! I think winter is the right season for such "experiments" when you are wearing over-the-knee boots, sequined mini and fur at the same time.

В один из последних дней лета мы устроили себе настоящий гастрономический праздник на агроферме "Улитка" в Переславле-Залесском. Нам очень повезло с погодой... Получился настоящий бранч на весь день, со свежими улитками, пастой... и итальянским вином! Идеальное завершение лета.

We spent one of the last summer days at the "Ulitka" (escargot) farm in Pereslavl-Zalessky, that was a true gastronomic feast. The weather was amazing... So, it  was like a whole-day brunch with fresh escargot, pasta and... Italian wine! Perfect ending of this summer.

Икона стиля, чьи образы меня вдохновляют уже со школьных лет... Невероятно элегантная и утонченная Виктория Бекхэм. Конечно, ее стиль менялся с годами. Многие даже пытаются разглядеть и выстроить определенную эволюцию ее стиля. Но я сегодня не об этом! Мне кажется, все ее образы сквозь годы объединяет одно: лаконичность, элегантность (даже когда она в джинсах!). Даже когда на Виктории в меру откровенные или дерзкие вещи, это не смотрится вульгарно. А еще я не могу не обратить внимание на ее любовь к черному цвету. Которую я, кстати, полностью разделяю!

My style icon whose outfits have been inspiring me since I was a schoolgirl... Absolutely elegant and classy Victoria Beckham. Well, of course, her style has changed a lot. Many journaists even try to find out the "evolution" of her personal style. But that's not what I'm talking about today! I think the main thing about all her outfits through the years is the following: they're all elegant, modest enough and sophisticated (also when she's wearing jeans!). Even if Victoria is wearing quite bold or revealing clothes it doesn't look vulgar. And also - she doesn't underestimate black color, and I hold the same position.

Май - мой самый любимый месяц в году, самый прекрасный и самый трогательный. Это как предвкушение лета, когда оно еще не началось, но настроение уже самое что ни на есть летнее, утром рано светает, солнце вовсю светит. И Москва в мае просто прекрасна! 

May is my favorite month, the most beautiful and touching one. It’s like some anticipation of summer before it starts, but when you already have this summer mood and it’s already light early in the morning and the sun is shining. And Moscow is adorable in May!
